At the New City Library Maker Space, we aim to bring STEM resources to our patrons. The Maker Space focuses on anyone who wants to learn from young adults to retirees. While we focus our space on 3D printing, vinyl cutting, coding, and circuitry, we are always looking for new technologies to bring into the maker space. Our classes are for any skill level, so you can start from the beginning or polish your existing skills.
The New City Library Maker Space uses a Raise3d E2 printer as well as an Afinia H800 3D printer. We exclusively use PLA (polylactic acid) filament which is made from renewable resources, typically corn starch, tapioca root, or sugarcane.
Coding
The New City Library Maker Space hosts coding programs to educate patrons on the infinite possibilities of coding. Designed to be your first stop in coding, we aim to provide context for building your skills in coding. If you have no coding experience, we would like to help you take your first steps to realizing the potential of coding.
