Printing in the Library/Printing Wirelessly or from Home/Scanning/Faxing
Printing
Printing at the library costs 20 cents per page for black and white on letter size paper, 40 cents per page for color on letter size paper. Legal size prints are 25 cents for black and white, 50 cents for color.
- Sign on to any computer that says Available using your library card number.
- Proceed to print. A box will pop up giving you options for black and white or color as well as size of paper.
- Select your payment method. You will be given a four digit code for your print. Please write down or email the code to yourself. No print can be released without it!
- Go to the print release station next to the copier/printer and select Release a Print Job. Type in the four digit code.
- If you selected ‘Pay with Cash’, please put your coins or bills into the cash box next to the print release station. Credit card payments will begin printing once the code is enderted. If you choose ‘pay at front desk’, please speak with a library staff member, who will release your print. You will still need to enter your four-digit code at the print release station.

- Upload your document(s) and adjust your settings
- You can pay from your device with a credit card or pay when you reach the library with cash.

Scan
The library’s scanner can be used free of charge to scan documents and images to a flash drive or sent via email. The scanner is located by the public computers.
- Enter in your library barcode number to login to the scanner.
- Touch the screen to begin.
- Choose ‘Scan to USB drive’ or ‘Scan to Email’.
- Place your first scannable item onto the clear glass of the scanner bed with the side you want to scan facing down.
- Choose start on the touch screen.
- Once a preview image has appeared on the screen, you can choose to scan more pages by putting the next item on the scanner and choosing ‘Scan’ or finish by clicking ‘Next’.
- If you’re emailing the scanned item, you will be prompted to put in an email address for the receiver as well as your own as the sender. The subject line will be filled in, but you can rename it whatever you like.
- If you’re scanning to a USB drive, a popup will tell you when the transfer is complete and you can remove your drive.
Fax
Faxing costs a dollar a page and can be paid at the Reference Desk once the fax has gone through. Faxing is done at the scanner located by the public computers.
- Enter in your library barcode number to login to the scanner.
- Touch the screen to begin.
- Choose ‘Scan to Fax’
- Place your first page onto the clear glass of the scanner bed with the side you want to scan facing down.
- Choose start on the touch screen.
- Once a preview image has appeared on the screen, you can choose to scan more pages by putting the next item on the scanner and choosing ‘Scan’ or finish by clicking ‘Next’.
- The computer will prompt you to enter a phone number for the receiving fax machine as well as a contact name for the person or organization receiving the fax. It will also ask for your e-mail address, so that you can receive a digital confirmation that the fax has gone through. The subject line will be pre-filled, but it is advised that you change it.
- Once you click send, the fax will start attempting to connect to the receiving machine. If it is able to get through immediately, a message will appear to tell you the fax was successfully sent and you can log off the machine. If the line is busy, a message will appear asking if you’d like to put it into a queue. The library’s machine will keep trying to reach the receiving fax machine until the fax can be sent. If you choose this option, you can log off and you will get an email once the fax has gone through.
