Report on any book in the teen collection including our graphic novels! School will require you to read this summer, so why not come to the library and get rewarded for it?

There are weekly prizes as well as drawings for gift baskets and grand prizes. Last year we gave away books, t-shirts, movie tickets, two tickets to ComicCon and much more. And with your registration and just one report, you will qualify for the Rockin’ Gamin’ Video Arcade Bus in the library parking lot on August 9.

This summer we want to reward you for reading. Pick up bookmarks at the reference or circulation desks, read a book, give it a short review, and exchange it for a weekly prize. Each bookmark will also be an entry in our final raffle. Our theme is READ EVERYWHERE, and to encourage our patrons to take their books wherever they go this summer, we’re holding a second raffle for a gift card. You can enter by sending us pictures of you reading on your summer adventures, whether that’s your backyard or the back of beyond! Like us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, then post your picture by tagging us at @newcitylibrary! You can also email them to [email protected] to enter. All your pictures will be on display so everyone can see how far and wide a book can take you!
