National Library Week April 12-18

Beginning Sunday, we will be celebrating National Library Week.  Since its inception in 1958, this week in April has been designated by the American Library Association as a time to honor libraries and library workers as well as raise awareness of the vital part libraries play in American culture and democracy.  Please be sure to drop by and enjoy one of the many programs we have scheduled for the week.  See you then!

Sunday, 2pm - History of Rock and Roll - an a cappella performance by Memories of You.
Tuesday, 7pm - Images of Rockland:  Pearl River - with local historian and author James Cassetta.
Wednesday, 7pm - Birds of Prey of Rockland - Rockland Audubon's Lorrie Pallant hosts.
Thursday, 1pm - Thursday Afternoon at the Movies - The Natural with Robert Redford.
Thursday, 3 - 6pm - Library Tours - see the renovated Children's Room, new quiet study room, and A/V area.
Friday, 4pm - Teen Movie & Laser Tag - call the reference desk at x125 to register with your library card.
