You are your child's first teacher. Do you really know HOW to read to them? This research based presentation will explore how to work with your child at home to develop the building blocks of literacy, so that they can enter school with an advantage. Children who start kindergarten with strong pre-reading skills are ready to learn, and to succeed. This free program is made possibile through the generous support of The New City Library, Clarkstown Family Resource Centers and Rockland 21 C.
